Vegas!!

Sloan and I are in Vegas...he's at a conference and I get to play! I forgot how much work it takes to get everyone ready for dad and mom to be gone for a week, so I was worn out when we got here Monday night! But, I have done nothing but relax since we've been here and it's so nice! I actually finished reading a book in 2 days (that rarely happens when I'm at home), painted my fingernails and toenails without 4 girls asking me to do the same to theirs, I've gotten ready without a 2 year old needing something, checked email, Facebook and Pinterest without being interrupted to get someone a drink, help with homework, etc. Don't get me wrong, I love my girls and I'm starting to miss them, but it's so nice to have a break every so often. Thankful, I got to tag along with my hubby!
















My lunch today...Del Taco! I grew up eating this in Cali...so yummy! Way better than Taco Bell! :-)

Summer fun with cousins

Caleb and Cali were in town visiting their other grandparents and my mom "stole" them for the weekend so they could come to Eleanor's birthday party.  I knew they were coming, but didn't tell the girls...they were so surprised to see them!  We had a family dinner here after the party and after dinner the kids wanted to try out all 3 sprinklers that Eleanor got for her birthday.  Each one is fun in it's own way and they love all of them...and we have used them all a lot this summer.  So fun to have cousins come visit and be able to play on a summer night and stay up late.  Fun memories for them all!

 This is what Delaney and Caleb would do the whole time they are together...we just make them go out and play!  I mean who wants to play the Wii for that long...apparently they do!  HA!!!!

Eleanor's Birthday Party...a few months later!

I am sooooooo behind with blogging.  This summer has flown by and I can't believe the last time I blogged was in June...wow!!!  We had such a fun summer, too.  I think a month by month catch up is calling my name!

Back to Eleanor's 2nd birthday party...we had an Ice Cream Party...so fun.  Thankfully, the weather was cooler the weekend we had it and we were able to do the party outside and the kids just played in the backyard and no one complained that it was hot...so nice!

Isabelle's dance recital

We survived our first dance recital...could be the first of many, we'll see. It was several weeks ago, but with soccer ending, school ending, planning and having a bday party for Eleanor, a luau with our women's ministry at church and summer starting and trips to the pool, etc., this is honestly one of the first times I've been able to blog about it.

Isabelle did great and I'm so glad that she got to take dance with her cousin, Avery this past year. They were the cutest little pixie dust ever! I love that the whole recital was an actual ballet...obviously from the Pixie Dust mention above, it was Peter Pan.

Her party is today. She is so excited and if you say "we're having a party" she says "my"! She knows this party is for her...and she's excited!!!







Then there's this child...who will be 4 in a couple months...wow! When I stopped to take a pic of E, she H.A.D. to have her pic taken as well!
