Spring Break - Part 3

Delaney and Isabelle both wanted a friend to spend the night. I've learned that it's a lot easier (on me) to have a friend come over for each of them on the same night rather than two different nights. A lot less fighting, people feeling left out, etc.

Isabelle had her cousin, Avery, over and Delaney invited Anna Kate! We had a fun night of making pizzas, eating tye-dye cupcakes (something I found on Pinterest), watching movies, playing computer games, etc! I'm thankful for their friends/cousins. Love watching their friendships grow!!

Random pic of Eleanor that was too cute not to post.

I think the Friday of Spring Break we did a late breakfast at Krispie Kreme...Flat Stanley sure loved his donuts!

Saturday was Spa Day for the girls. Daddy was at work (tax season) and we were off from soccer. It was cold outside, but apparently a swimsuit was a MUST for Spa Day! They loved it...masks, pedicures and manicures! Such a fun girlie day!

I promise D & M were there, they were just doing something else when my camera was out.

Sunday, we went to Yogurt Mountain with my parents, Uncle Justin, Aunt Becca, Uncle Andrew, Aunt Jennifer & Eli. It's always a fun treat to go get yogurt, although Sloan and I have learned we have to limit the amount of yogurt and toppings for each child otherwise I think our bill would ring up as $100!!!

Thankful for sample cups! Pretty sure we all tried that Maple Bacon...general consensus...GAG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flat Stanley's final Spring Break outing! I'm not sure Isabelle shared with him though!

We had a great Spring Break and we checked a lot of things off our Spring Break bucket list! There's always next year to finish the rest!

Spring Break Part 2

So my phone won't hold any more pics, had to go through and delete some just to take some (ugh...hate it when this happens...dang first world problems). Anyway, when I did I realized I never finished blogging Spring Break...uh, hello, that was month's ago! So in an attempt to remove pics from my phone here goes......

The girls wanted to have breakfast with Grandma (my mom) one day. I figured we would go to Cracker Barrel or IHOP, but they chose Chick-fil-a instead...fine by me! They loved having the whole playground to themselves (I now know the time to go...no one was there)!

The girls were also begging (literally) to go dig for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State park. Thankfully, we were able to go with friends. The Havens kids and Clinton girls were quite the archeologists/diamond diggers...they had a blast and Jessamy and I were happy we had each other to talk to while the kids dug in the dirt. Everyone was dead set on finding a diamond...or two or three...DID.NOT.HAPPEN.!!!!!

Give a kid a bucket, throw in some dirt and they are occupied for hours!

Isabelle was in the middle of doing a Flat Stanley project for school, so he tagged along with us! I think he had fun hiding in the dirt, although we found him in the picnic basket a few times...I think he was hungry!

No diamonds for Stanley. No diamonds for us. We found out later that 3 diamonds were found that day (2 brown and 1 yellow)...we found rocks! Oh well...maybe next time??!! If there is a next time!

Spring Break - Part One

We stayed here for Spring Break. The girls wanted to do "fun things" and told me they had "big plans". We decided to make a Spring Break bucket list. We all sat down at breakfast one morning and came up with things that we wanted to do during Spring Break. All four participated and it was fun to see them get so excited about it and each one give their input. They also asked for certain meals, so I let them each pick a favorite and made a menu for the week. Just different for a change and it saved me from coming up with what I was going to cook each night. Here is the bucket list...and I think we ended up crossing off almost everything! It was a busy, but super fun week with the girls! Daddy even came home early from work every night just to have family time with them (he was pretty busy at this point with tax season).

We went to Wye Mtn. with my mom the first day the girls were out. The daffodils were pretty and the girls enjoyed running around. The weather was perfect as well.

Saturday was soccer as usual for Delaney and Isabelle. Madeline and Eleanor enjoy playing at their big sisters games. Not sure how much of the actual soccer games they watch, but oh well.

I also realized that Eleanor had gotten into my nail polish in between soccer games and decided to paint her own toenails. She's 2 going on 10!

After soccer I decided to lay out and the 3 big girls decided to wash the cars...or help Sloan wash the cars. Such a nice afternoon!

Sunday, after church, I took the two big girls to see Oz the Great and Powerful. It was a fun afternoon out with Delaney & Isabelle!

Spring Break Part 2 coming soon.....

Valentine's Day

The annual Valentine's celebration with friends happened again this year. Us wives decided we needed to do something different and something we rarely get to do....so it was off to the horse races in Hot Springs and then dinner afterwards. Thankfully Sloan wasn't very busy yet with tax season and we were able to leave around lunch time to catch the afternoon races!

We had such a fun time watching the ponies! And deciding which ones to bet on. I don't think any of us won anything, but it was fun!

We love our friends (sad the Davis' had to miss) and are so thankful for them and the fun tradition that lives on every year of celebrating Valentine's Day together!

Love my man...and the way he loves me! So thankful for him!

On Valentine's day Delaney was at soccer practice (2nd year in a row) so we had to postpone the annual heart shaped pizzas and chocolate fondue to later that weekend. We had a great time cooking and then eating pizza and fondue. The girls look forward to it and ask us about it all year. So glad I carried on the heart shaped pizza tradition from when I was a kid and added the fondue! Fun family memories!

Cousin Fun

A few months ago...yes, a few...that means I am once again behind on the blog. I thought I could keep up, but that's not happening. Anyway, a couple days after Thanksgiving we met all the Clinton cousins at the Clinton Library lawn and went box sledding! Our girls love doing this, but I think they had way more fun because all their cousins came and did it with them. There were lots of laughs, screams and cheers! What a fun afternoon spent with family! We even went to dinner afterwards and all 10 cousins sat at a table together and were so good! So thankful we have all these cousins in town to do fun things with!
